This role combines Ink Technician duties and Press Support with hands-on training, safety emphasis, and clear paths for advancement.

• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Assures ink color match meets customer requirements for all printed materials.
• Performs color matches including formulating and entering software database.
• Maintains ink and coatings inventory.
• Manages ink equipment function, machine calibration, and maintenance.
• Monitors ink usage and inventory.
• Mixes and proofs formulas and ensures database storage of all ink recipes.
• Creates color standards.
• Makes sound operational decisions and supports continuous improvement.
• Provides training on basics of ink tooling and related issues.
• Reviews job specs and press run samples for accuracy.
• Troubleshoots ink and coating problems.
• Reads and understands job jacket and assists in setting up equipment.
• Performs machine make-ready and assists with auxiliary equipment.
• Keeps preproduction area organized and safe.
