Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Experience working with inks, printing, color is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a spectrophotometer to assist ink color matching.
• Order or initiate orders for ink bases to maintain inventory.
• Assist operator in attaining the correct ink color on the sheet being printed.
• Coordinate with production scheduler the correct ink quantity for orders.
• Perform end-of-month inventories of all inks and ink bases.
• Keep ink kitchen clean and organized at all times.
• Maintain accuracy of scales for weighing ink.
• Train operators in ink kitchen operation and ink adjustments on press.
• Monitor non-use of inks and report monthly.
• Complete reports such as Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Assist with load/transfer when inks become inactive by reusing or repurposing.
