Job summary

Imprimus Labels & Packaging is seeking an experienced Ink Technician to join our manufacturing team in Mogadore, Ohio. This role prepares, matches, mixes, and maintains inks used to produce high-quality pressure-sensitive labels.

The ideal candidate will have experience with inks in a flexographic printing or label manufacturing environment and will understand color accuracy, documentation, and maintaining an organized ink room.

Qualifications

• Experience with inks in flexographic or label printing environments.
• Ability to read and follow ink formulas and production specs.
• Knowledge of color theory and color consistency.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare inks according to production specs.
• Perform color matching and adjust inks to standards.
• Use spectrophotometers to verify color accuracy.
• Collaborate with press operators to troubleshoot color issues.
• Maintain ink formulas and records.
• Prepare inks for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor ink viscosity, pH, and other properties.
• Maintain organized ink room and inventory.
• Label and handle inks, solvents, chemicals safely.
• Follow quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
• Communicate with Press, Prepress, Quality, Production teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
