Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking an Injury Prevention Coordinator to join our client site team. You will develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs focused on preventing work-related injuries, physical conditioning, and employee wellness within a manufacturing setting.

Collaboration with the client’s healthcare teams and plant safety is essential to success. In this role you will lead prevention initiatives, educate staff, and monitor program outcomes.

Qualifications

• For consideration, an Associate's degree or higher in a related field is required.
• 2+ years of health and fitness experience is required.
• Pre-employment drug test is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct employee injury prevention programs, education and training.
• Lead development and implementation of interventions for the manufacturing environment.
• Assist healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation, and care management.
• Collect and evaluate program data to support ROI and report for the plant.
• Develop, promote and market wellness and general education programs.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

We are currently seeking an Injury Prevention Coordinator to work at our client site in City, State. As the Coordinator you will develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs focused on the prevention of work-related injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness within the manufacturing environment. This is done in collaboration with the Client’s employee healthcare teams, Plant Safety as well as other Client employee health-related departments.

Key Accountabilities

• Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
• Leads the development and implementation of interventions/programs focused on the manufacturing environment to meet client objectives.
• Assists employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
• Collect and evaluate program data to support ROI process, manages and reports data for their assigned plant.
• Develop, promote, and market wellness and general education programs.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Associates Degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related field, or licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
• 2+ years’ experience in health and fitness.

Preferred

• Personal Training Certification.
• Understanding of Biomechanics.
• Understanding of Occupational Safety.
• Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing).
