You will lead and support tooling and injection processes across development projects, plants, and global networks. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on the shop floor, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to drive innovation in molding technologies, robotics integration, and industrial performance.

You will work closely with project teams, toolmakers, plants, and global engineering networks to ensure our tools, equipment, and processes meet the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Missions
  • Lead technical support for injection systems, tool design, and tooling-related topics.
  • Ensure feasibility of plastic parts vs. tool design.
  • Drive projects to meet PRU, quality, lead-time, and industrial standards.
  • Contribute to the division’s standards for tooling, injection processes, and equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and share global best practices.
Responsibilities
Safety
  • Work in full compliance with internal and external HSE standards.
Advance Phase & Technical Definition
  • Define cycle times, scrap rates, and required machine clamp forces.
  • Validate mold and tooling specifications with product line & purchasing teams.
  • Define technical parameters necessary for cost estimation of injection means.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies (IMPC, valve gates, robotics, cooling systems, sensors, etc.).
  • Lead the tool design phase and maintain strong communication with toolmakers.
  • Validate:
  • Support shop-floor trials: participate in trials, adjust parameters, and support prototype builds.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, including materials, machines, robotics, and integration topics.
  • Support installation, start‑up, and shutdown of injection machines.
  • Manage changes of equipment (robots, dryers, new tools, automation upgrades).
  • Ensure seamless tool transfer to plants and support start of production.
Equipment, Robotics & Cell Optimization
  • Integrate robots and peripheral equipment into injection cells.
  • Optimize cooling systems, cycle times, and process robustness.
  • Improve and standardize equipment across sites.
  • Ensure right‑first‑time methods and contribute to global best practices.
  • Lead or participate in problem‑solving workshops.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications and standards.
  • Capture and share lessons learned (real shrinkage, cycle times, process analysis).
  • Stay updated on new technologies, suppliers, and industry trends.
  • Actively participate in the global Injection Molding network and meetings.
  • Desired Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Plastics Engineering, Tooling Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in injection molding, tooling, or injection equipment engineering.
  • Capable of reading and understanding rheology studies (Moldflow, simulations).
  • Experience with equipment installation, cell design, and robotic integration is a major plus.
  • Solid project management and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in an intercultural, cross‑functional environment.
  • Team‑oriented, proactive, and continuously improvement‑driven.
  • Good command of English.
