Job summary

AmbaFlex Spiral Conveyor Solutions is seeking a hands-on Production Leader to oversee daily injection molding operations on site in Columbus, OH. You will lead a high‑performing team, coordinate presses, tooling, and personnel, and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will translate production plans into in‑spec results, enact standard work, coach operators, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to implement improvements. A strong Lean/CI background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in injection molding manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in production.
• Deep working knowledge of molding processes, tooling, materials, machines, and quality standards.
• Exceptional communication, organization, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, production reporting, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily injection molding operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.
• Plan and schedule jobs, machines, molds, and staffing to fulfill customer commitments.
• Monitor cycle times, balance workloads, and reallocate resources to hit targets.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate production records, downtime, scrap, labor, and ERP/MRP transactions.
• Coach operators, provide feedback and training, and ensure effective shift handoffs.

Own the Value Stream from Mold Change to Finished Goods

Do you coordinate presses, people, and parts with calm precision? Are LOTO and 6S second nature? Reporting to the Injection Mold & Maintenance Manager, you will steer daily injection molding operations to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable output.

Your Impact

• Safety & Organization: Enforce PPE, LOTO, and audit‑ready 6S. Act early on hazards.
• Planning & Scheduling: Align jobs, machines, molds, and staffing to meet customer commitments.
• Execution: Monitor cycle times, balance workloads, and reallocate resources to hit targets.
• Quality & Process Control: Meet standards; reduce scrap, rework, and downtime.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Data & Inventory Discipline: Keep clean records of production, downtime, scrap, and labor. Verify materials and inventory accuracy. Manage ERP/MRP transactions and reporting.
• People Leadership: Coach operators, deliver feedback and training, lead effective shift handoffs, and foster a team‑first culture.

What You Need to Succeed Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in injection molding manufacturing.
