Job summary

Birmingham Search Group is partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer to hire Injection Molding Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Pay ranges from $24.00 to $27.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow as you gain experience on advanced molding and robotics.

Ideal candidates will have experience with injection molding equipment, mold changes, robotics, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Injection Molding Technician or Mold Setup experience.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
Experience changing molds and setting up injection molding equipment.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform mold and die changes on injection molding machines safely and efficiently.
Set up robotic tooling, machine programs, and robot programs for production.
Verify machine setups and ensure all operating conditions meet quality and production standards.
Troubleshoot injection molding machines and production equipment to minimize downtime.
Perform minor process adjustments, including pressure, temperature, speed, and feed rates to maintain product quality.
Support production by resolving machine, process, and scheduling issues.
Program and adjust three-axis and six-axis robots as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned.
