Caliberr Staffing in Florida is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of molding equipment on the production floor. The role requires mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills to support the entire production line.

You will handle installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery, ensure safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience using various hand tools and electronic testing devices.
  • Proficiency in soldering, as well as SMT repair and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to perform tasks effectively with little supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with equipment handling.
  • Commitment to a drug-free environment, including willingness to undergo background and drug screenings.

Responsabilités

  • Manage operation and upkeep of desiccant wheel dryers and vacuum loading systems.
  • Ensure consistent performance of injection molding machines (IMM).
  • Oversee maintenance of closed-loop chillers and cooling infrastructure.
  • Regulate and maintain mold temperature control units.
  • Service air compressors, blow-out systems, and related molding hardware.
  • Maintain logs of production data, process adjustments, and maintenance history.
  • Disassemble and perform routine maintenance of injection molds.
  • Submit procurement requests to ensure supply of tools and cleaning agents.
  • Contribute to engineering design reviews to improve outcomes.
  • Document manufacturing instructions and resolve production bottlenecks to boost efficiency.
  • Create and execute a robust preventative maintenance strategy.
  • Keep organized inventory of repair supplies and tools.
  • Act swiftly during emergencies to ensure safety and follow protocols.
  • Help maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Utilize forklifts and overhead gantry cranes as required.
  • Coordinate and execute the production schedule to meet delivery goals.
  • Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues across machinery.
  • Provide support to teammates for collective success.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Description du poste

Our team is seeking a dedicated Injection Molding Technician to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our molding equipment while providing essential support across the production floor. You will handle a diverse range of tasks, including the installation and repair of machinery, general facility maintenance, and product assembly. By performing inspections and repairs aligned with our safety and productivity standards, you will play a vital role in helping us reach our operational targets.

We are looking for individuals who are mechanically minded, highly organized, and capable of solving problems with minimal oversight.

This role requires sound judgment and a high level of comfort working with heavy-duty machinery that utilizes extreme heat, sometimes exceeding 600 degrees F. While our equipment is fully guarded and clearly marked, you must remain vigilant regarding pinch points and thermal surfaces, and you will be expected to utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment at all times.

Compensation and Schedule

Shifts are available Monday through Friday, either from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM to midnight. Compensation ranges from $17 to $22 per hour, based on your professional experience.
