IMS Gear | Gear Technology. Worldwide. in Gainesville, GA seeks an Injection Molding Operator to own changeovers on molding cells and their integrated robotics. You will ensure machines return to spec and production restarts without missing a beat.
You will troubleshoot systematically, collaborate with engineering on complex root causes, document actions to IMS Gear standards, and support operational readiness with precise measurement tools.
Step into a hands-on role where your precision and speed keep a high-volume plastics operation moving. You'll own changeovers on injection molding cells and their integrated robotics, making sure each machine returns to spec and production restarts without missing a beat.
You arrive to a posted production schedule and prioritized worklist. Your first task: pull a tool, rig the next mold with the overhead crane, and perform the complete setup on an Arburg or Krausse Maffei press. You dial in parameters, confirm material flow with the Motan dryer/vacuum system, and sync automation with Yaskawa or Kuka robots. A sensor fault appears-no problem. You troubleshoot systematically, collaborate with engineering on a complex root cause, and document every action to IMS Gear standards. By mid-shift, another cell needs a quick adjustment to bring parts back into tolerance; calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and go/no-go gauges are your go-to. When mold changes aren't on deck, you run the press as an operator to keep output steady.
If you thrive on fast, safe changeovers; love solving problems under pressure; and take pride in machines running to spec, this role will feel like home.
