A day in the roleYou’ll begin by reviewing the production schedule, staging tools, and preparing equipment so mold changeovers happen on time. From there, you’ll execute complete mold setups and transitions, stabilize processes alongside your supervisor, and keep lines running smoothly.What you’ll take onSet up injection molds and perform scheduled changeovers aligned to the production plan.Pre-stage components and perform prep work to shorten downtime; correct process issues as directed by your supervisor.Carry out preventative maintenance on in-production tools: clean and grease molds; clean, inspect, and lubricate related machinery.Respond to troubleshooting calls and mold performance concerns; determine root cause and perform or assist with repairs.Collaborate with affected personnel to evaluate machine operation and implement improvements.Operate and monitor production lines as needed to maintain throughput.Complete quality checks on containers to verify specifications; document issues and any adjustments made to assigned equipment.Follow all plant-specific job specifications and task lists.How you workCommunicate clearly with internal and external customers.Read and follow written instructions accurately.Use a wide range of hand and power tools confidently.Wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Operate material handling equipment safely while promoting a safe environment for all associates.Safety and housekeepingMust wear all required PPE properly.Conduct him/herself in a safe manner.Must keep the area around your workstation clean and free from dirt and debris.Clean assigned areas of the building or pieces of equipment as instructed by your supervisor.Physical and work environmentThe work environment is typical of most manufacturing environments.The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
