Job summary

Proto Plastics in Tipp City, Ohio, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep our injection molding operation running smoothly. You will diagnose equipment failures, perform preventive maintenance, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across our manufacturing cells.

You will also maintain facility controls, service automation/robotics, and tooling, while documenting findings and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Technical school certificate preferred.
• 2–5 years of related maintenance experience/training.
• Proficiency with facilities and injection molding equipment, electronics and robotics repair.

Responsibilities

• Investigate malfunctioning manufacturing equipment; apply strategic troubleshooting to identify root causes.
• Execute preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Service material handling systems, automation/robotics, and custom manufacturing cells supporting injection molding operations.
• Maintain and repair building and facility systems, including manufacturing facility controls.
• Inspect and listen to machines to locate malfunctions; dismantle as needed to access problem areas.
• Measure parts to identify wear, alignment issues, and other defects; replace defective components.
• Restart and validate equipment operation post-repair to minimize downtime.
• Train, mentor, and coach other technical team members.
