Job summary

Detroit Manufacturing Systems in Detroit is seeking a Process Technician-IMM to maintain high-quality tooling and injection mold machinery. You will work with IMM Engineering to prevent downtime and optimize mold operations on a fast-paced automotive manufacturing line.

The role requires hands-on experience with ENGEL injection molding systems, strong problem-solving skills, and teamwork to ensure quality and throughput meet customer demands.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma with knowledge of injection molding equipment.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Experience with Engel injection molding machines is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and operate injection molding machines and secondary equipment to reduce downtime.
• Monitor process and product quality during runs.
• Maintain tooling and equipment through TPM and preventive maintenance.
• Support SMED changeovers and EOAT adjustments to reduce cycle times.
• Record downtime, scrap, and changeover metrics for continuous improvement.
• Address minor processing issues and cooperate with engineering to improve efficiency.
