Aptyx is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician to oversee setup, operation, and optimization of molding processes in our Torrington manufacturing facility.

You will troubleshoot equipment and tooling, monitor product quality, and drive process improvements to reduce cycle times and waste. The role requires hands-on maintenance, documentation, and a commitment to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification/training preferred in injection molding or related field.
• Proven experience as a process technician or similar in an injection molding environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with injection molding processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust injection molding machines and equipment for production runs, configuring temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, molds, and processes to minimize downtime.
• Monitor production to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications; conduct inspections and measurements.
• Analyze data to identify process improvements and implement changes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate records of setups, adjustments, and production data; prepare performance reports.
• Train production staff on machine operation, process adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
