Job summary

Greiner in Monroe, NC is seeking a production operator to perform changeovers on injection molding lines, prepare materials, start production with SOP documentation, and monitor machinery for safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Injection Molding experience (>3 years) or equivalent.
• Computer knowledge Microsoft Office 2003 or above.

Responsibilities

• Perform Changeovers (Color, mold, logo, material, EOAT) efficiently with limited downtime using crane system as needed.
• Prepare materials for new orders (raw material, boxes, bags, labels, etc.)
• Start Production with appropriate documentation per SOPs
• Operate and minor troubleshooting on MOTAN material conveying equipment
• Ensure periphery and secondary equipment (temperature control units, external hot runner controllers, grinders, conveyors, automation, etc.) is working properly
• Perform daily maintenance, detailed cleaning/polishing of molds
• Monitor Injection Molding Machines and ensure maximum safety, quality, and efficiency at all times through optimization of process
• Save and store process settings and all changes per SOPs
• Perform documented checks on products throughout the shift using measurement equipment to ensure quality standards are met including First Piece Inspections on new orders
• Ensure Critical and Key Process Parameters are recorded and documented per SOPs
• Follow internal processing guidelines and standards
• Maintain cleanliness of production floor and work environment
• Maintain Good Documentation Practices
• Work according to safety regulations and guidelines
• Others duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must have appropriate vision to perform detailed quality inspections as outlined in SOPs and TPs.
