Qualifications

Job description

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Injection Molding Process Technician for 3rd Shift (10PM-6AM) at our Arlington, TX facility.

General Job Duties:

  1. Basic troubleshooting of molding defects (flash, short shots, color contamination, etc.)
  2. Basic troubleshooting of IMM
  3. Perform color changes to production needs
  4. Accurately record process parameters on audit sheets and/or first piece sheets
  5. Communicate with Quality Techs and IMM Operator regarding any defects
  6. Inspect parts hourly for defects, mislabeling, and/or missing components
  7. Maintain cycle standards and molding conditions of assigned presses
  8. Notify the supervisor of any quality and/or molding problems
  9. Perform startup and shutdown procedures of molding presses
  10. Check equipment for repairs and problems, notify supervisor and/or maintenance when they occur
  11. Help maintain housekeeping and appearance of the assigned IMM areas
  12. Assist in mold changes when required
  13. Repair or assist with water leaks when required
  14. Perform basic TPM on tools/molds as needed
  15. Perform related duties as assigned by the lead person, supervisor, and/or department manager
  16. Must be available to work overtime when needed
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED, skilled trades education a plus

  • Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience in Injection Molding operations or related technical experience
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to follow safe work procedures and wear personal protective equipment at all times as required
  • Must be certified to operate a crane/hoist
  • Ability to work with minimum to no supervision

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand on feet and/or sit 8-12 hours a day and lift to 50lbs on an occasional basis and 15 lbs regularly. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist.
