The role focuses on operating plastic molding equipment, inspecting parts, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and may have technical certification. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate or tend plastic molding machine to mold and form thermoplastic materials.
• Observe continuous operation of automatic machine, and width and alignment of plastic sheeting to ensure side flanges.
• Examine molded product for surface defects, such as dents, bubbles, thin areas, and cracks.
• Remove product from mold or conveyor, and clean and reload mold.
• Stack molded parts in boxes or on conveyor for processing or leave parts in mold to cool.
• Report defects in mold to Supervisor.
• Trim flash from finished product.
• Follow directions on work orders and production drawings.
• Follow verbal instructions from Production Supervisor or Team Lead.
• Process orders as dictated by the production schedule.
• Perform the job function in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clean safe, work area.
