Job summary

American Plastics, LLC, headquartered in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Maintenance Technician for our Tiffin, OH facility. You will perform electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting, service injection-molding equipment, and uphold safety through lockout/tagout practices.

The role requires 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule with a 3-day weekend every other week. Experience in injection molding is a plus; forklift/crane skills are advantageous. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
• Able to work a 12-hour shift.
• Prior Maintenance Technician experience required (injection molding experience a plus).
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good judgment and decision-making ability.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift experience or willingness to learn.
• Has basic abilities in welding, brazing, soldering, or related.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and read electrical prints.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuits; read machine schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic circuits; read machine schematics.
• Maintain injection-molding equipment maintenance; repair as needed.
• Execute lock out/tag out procedures on all equipment.
• Suggest and implement downtime prevention improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify root causes and permanent solutions.
• Maintain plant facilities and equipment.
• Perform daily checks per preventive maintenance schedule.
• Own and maintain basic set of tools for duties.
