Position Description

As an Injection Molding Machine/Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for all maintenance operations for your respective work area in the manufacturing environment and within the framework of a team performing the following activities:

  • Maintain good documentation practices
  • Embrace a teamwork philosophy in order to meet or exceed production and quality goals
  • Monitor and maintain area for organization and safety
  • Troubleshoot and repair all manufacturing equipment
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s manufacturing instructions SOPs and QSR per training
  • Read and understand drawings and manuals
  • Communicate effectively with production team members, team leaders, and engineers to ensure quality components
Position Requirements
  • Strive to meet or exceed production and quality goals
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in repairing extrusion, injection molding and/or rubber molding equipment
  • Able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics
  • Willingness to perform other duties and responsibilities outside of their position description
  • Ability to work more than 8 hours a day, weekends and holidays as needed
  • An understanding of team concepts and a willingness to work with others
  • Ability and desire to train new team members
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
  • Have good hand-eye coordination
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Use of basic hand tools and ability to climb ladders up to 15 feet
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent
Preferred
  • Reliable team member that has the willingness and the drive to succeed within the team
  • Motivated, self-starter, and a proactive team player
  • Familiarity in repairing of Arburg, Toshiba, Sumitomo, Cincinnati, Krauss Maffei, Maplan injection molding machines, robots, LIM, mills, rubber presses, and extrusion equipment
  • Read mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with heat treat ovens, hydrogen generators and nitrogen generators is a plus but not required
