Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Plastic Injection Molding Set-Up Technician in Westminster, CO. The role involves setting up molding machines, pulling molds, cycling to process, and basic maintenance, with supervision of junior technicians on the floor.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting defects, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Injection molding experience or mechanical aptitude with tools.
• Strong supervision capability and leadership on the floor.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance hardware performance, reliability, repeatability, and efficiency
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards in all set-up and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and inventory control of hardware components and tools
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Plastic Injection Molding Set-Up Technician. Setup Technicians have the responsibility of getting injection molding machines set up and ready for production. This includes but is not limited to pulling and setting molds, cycling the machine into a pre-established process, turning in start-up parts, troubleshooting machine alarms, and performing basic mold and machine maintenance. These duties will require the use of overhead cranes, forklifts and basic hand tools.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Injection molding experience or mechanical aptitude, tools and toolbox
• Must demonstrate a high aptitude and ability for supervision
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-function teams
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certifications or vocational training in injection molding is preferred

Salary Description

$26 -$36 per hour
