Job summary

Trelleborg in Renton, WA is seeking an Injection Mold Processor to set up and operate injection molding machines and produce high-quality plastic parts. You will monitor production, inspect parts, troubleshoot processes, and support safety and continuous improvement with the manufacturing team.

Key duties include mold and tooling changes with an overhead crane, trimming gates, performing part marking, and operating a forklift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in plastic injection molding.
• Experience with scientific molding is preferred.
• Strong understanding of plastics processing principles and techniques.
• Ability to safely operate an overhead crane for mold changes and a forklift.
• Experience using measuring tools to inspect molded parts.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills; effective teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly.

Our manufacturing team is focused on creating parts needed in the aerospace industry.

Summary of the Role:

As an Injection Mold Processor, you will set up and operate injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. You will monitor production, inspect parts for quality, troubleshoot process issues, perform basic machine maintenance, and help ensure production, quality, and safety standards are met. Working closely with the manufacturing team, you will support efficient operations and continuous improvement efforts.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Issue and dry materials for production jobs.
• Set molds and tooling using an overhead crane.
• Process and operate injection molding machines using scientific molding techniques.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Trim gates, remove flashing, and perform part marking as required.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and perform minor machine maintenance.
• Operate a forklift to move molds, materials, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while supporting 5S initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement efforts and production goals.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00pm

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of plastic injection molding experience required.
• Experience or familiarity with scientific molding processes preferred.
• Strong understanding of plastics processing principles and techniques.
• Ability to safely operate an overhead crane for mold changes.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Experience using measuring tools to inspect molded parts.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and problem-solve.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly throughout the workday.

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation packing, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.

Compensation range: $32.00-40.00/hour
