Overview

Graham Packaging Company is looking for an Injection Maintenance Technician I based in Rockwall, Texas. This opening is for night shift, which operates between the hours of 6:54 pm and 7:00 am. This position will operate on a 2-2-3 schedule.

• Weekly pay starting at $28.50 per hour.
• Additional $1.00 shift differential for night shifts.
• Benefits Start on Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installation and repair of equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building. The primary duties of a Maintenance Technician include:

• Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, quality GMP, and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
• Focusing on producing quality products by monitoring quality levels and adjusting manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity.
• Maintaining controls to ensure successful plant performance within budgeted goals.
• Performing diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facilities' equipment.
• Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
• Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs during operation and scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
• Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Applying mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.
• Performing simple machinist skills.
• Using various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials, and reporting issues to supervision.
• Assisting and training production employees in machinery operation and maintenance.
• Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

Preferred: Two-year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field and a minimum of five years of Industrial Maintenance Technician experience.

Essential skills include:

• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, punctual attendance.
• Computer skills including typing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within routine instructions and practices.
