Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Carrollton, TX is seeking an Ingredient Scaler to support the Production team on the 3rd shift (10:00 pm–6:30 am, Mon–Fri with some Saturdays). You will locate scaling formulas, verify calibration, and accurately scale ingredients to established formulas to ensure consistent product quality.

As a member of a diverse, performance-driven team, you will help maintain GMPs, comply with regulatory standards, and support overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations to count product and fill orders.

Responsibilities

• Locate and verify correct scaling formula.
• Check scale for proper calibration.
• Accurately scale ingredients according to established formulas.
• Keep bins filled with proper ingredients as needed.
• Keep ample supply of scaled ingredients in the racks in the mixing area.
• Relieve the Head Mixer and Mixer Helper for breaks.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices to prevent product contamination.
• Comply with FDA, OSHA, EPA and all other regulatory agencies.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Description:

About the Role:

The Ingredient Scaler role at the Carrollton location provides support to the Production team, Responsible for packing acceptable product and/or icing into appropriate cans at the production line flow.

• Locate and verify correct scaling formula.
• Check scale for proper calibration.
• Accurately scale ingredients according to establish formulas.
• Keep bins filled with proper ingredients as needed.
• Keep ample supply of scaled ingredients in the racks in the mixing area.
• Relieve the Head Mixer and Mixer Helper for breaks. (Refer to appropriate job description for duties and responsibilities).
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices to prevent product contamination.
• Comply with FDA, OSHA, EPA and all other regulatory agencies.
• Work overtime as required.
• Employee must perform any other duties required or assigned as needed.

Important Details:

This is a full-time permanent role on 3rd shift, which operates from 10:00 pm to 6:30am Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. Shift differential included.
