Job summary

Post Consumer Brands in Lawrence, KS, a unit of Post Holdings, Inc., is seeking an Ingredient Operator to support 24/7 production and ingredient handling.

Starting rate: $27.95 per hour with a 0.50 per hour shift premium for the 6:00pm-6:00am schedule. Responsibilities include receiving ingredients, QA testing, operating grinding/mixing equipment and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to comply with attendance policy.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and communicate with teams.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Willing to complete routine computer-based trainings.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload bulk ingredients from rail cars and trucks.
• Perform accurate, timely tests on incoming ingredients to ensure quality assurance and food safety.
• Operate grinding and mixing equipment.
• Maintain equipment to reduce/eliminate downtime.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety.

Location Description

The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 200+ hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits®. Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams.

Ingredient Operator

Starting rate: $27.95per hour

The Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS operates on a 24/7 production schedule. Team members will work:

• B Shift - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Friday 6:00pm-6:00am
• Shift premium - $0.50 per hour

Qualifications

The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following qualifications:

• Possess a high school diploma or a GED
• Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability and willingness to communicate with cross functional teams
• Ability to comply with captive uniform and safety shoe policy
• Ability to complete routine computer-based trainings
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred
