Job summary

Cold Spring Brewing in Cold Spring, MN is seeking a Full Time Night Shift team member for our production line. You will assemble kits, pre-weigh ingredients, track inventory, and follow detailed recipes.

This 12-hour night shift operates on a 2-2-3 rotation (6p-6a) with a $750 night shift bonus and a $2.00 night differential where applicable. Candidates need a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read English.

  • Strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-weigh ingredients following specific recipes.
  • Batch soft drinks and energy drinks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of production areas.
  • Monitor activities in area of responsibility during shift.
  • Ensure every detail and specification of each product is met.
  • Follow recipes and directions accurately.
  • Conduct physical counts on customer-owned inventories.
  • Learn and apply new processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Lead.
  • Adhere to GMP and quality and food safety standards.

Status: Full Time Night Shift

Hours: 12-hour shift - 6p-6a

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)

Summary

This position is responsible for assembling kits for the production plant. Pre-weigh ingredients, track inventory, and follow detailed instructions.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Pre-weigh Ingredients following specific recipes.
  • Batches soft drinks and energy drinks.
  • Maintains cleanliness of areas responsible for.
  • Monitors activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift.
  • Ensures that every detail and specification of each product is met.
  • Is responsible to follow recipes and directions, “to the letter”
  • Conducts physical counts on customer owned inventories
  • Must learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Lead.
  • Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.
What You Need to Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret in English.
  • Have a strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
  • Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a high-speed Production environment
  • Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals
Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.

Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.

The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements
  • Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 60lbs regularly.
  • Extended standing on hard surfaces.
  • Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals
  • Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception
  • Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands, feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
  • Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.
