Violet Health in Michigan is seeking an Infusion RN to manage vascular access and administer complex therapies. You will be the primary clinical touchpoint, delivering safe care with empathy in outpatient settings.
Responsibilities include infusion administration, central line care, patient assessment, education, and precise documentation in the EHR. You will collaborate with physicians, pharmacy staff, and intake coordinators.
As an Infusion RN, you will manage peripheral and central vascular access sites, administer complex specialty biologic and intravenous therapies, and monitor patient outcomes. You will act as the primary clinical touchpoint for our patients—combining top-tier technical vascular access skills with genuine empathy to create a safe, welcoming care experience.
Safely mix (when applicable), initiate, monitor, and discontinue intravenous medications, biologics, fluids, and subcutaneous injections following established protocols.
Demonstrate high proficiency with IV insertion, central line care (PICC, Port-a-Cath, Midlines), line flushes, dressing changes, and blood draws/phlebotomy.
Perform comprehensive pre-infusion health assessments, monitor vital signs, evaluate adverse reactions, and intervene promptly according to emergency protocols.
Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, potential side effects, self-care guidelines, and vascular access maintenance.
Accurately document all care, medication administration, and patient responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards.
Work closely with referring physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacy staff, and intake coordinators to streamline therapy management.
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Minimum 2 + years acute care, ambulatory or home infusion nursing, emergency room nursing
Proven excellence in peripheral IV starts and central line management.
Current BLS required; ACLS and CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) or ONS/ONCC certification strongly preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, detail-oriented documentation habits, and a warm, patient-first demeanor.
$38.00 – $50.00/hour (based on experience and clinical certifications).
Outpatient schedule (no overnight shifts or heavy call rotations).
