The ideal candidate has active RN licensure, 2+ years of relevant nursing experience, and is proficient in IV starts and central line care, with strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2+ years in acute care, ambulatory, or home infusion nursing.
• Vascular access expertise for peripheral IV starts and central line management.
• Current BLS required; ACLS and CRNI or ONS/ONCC certification preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-first demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Infusion Administration: safely initiate, monitor, and discontinue IV meds, biologics, fluids, and subcutaneous injections.
• Vascular Access: IV starts; central line care (PICC, Port-a-Cath, Midlines); line flushes and dressing changes.
• Patient Assessment & Care: pre-infusion assessments, monitor vitals, manage adverse reactions per emergency protocols.
• Patient Education: educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, side effects, self-care, and access maintenance.
• Documentation & Compliance: document care and responses in the EHR while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborative Practice: coordinate with referring physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacy staff, and intake coordinators.
