Job summary

Infusion for Health in Chula Vista, California is seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse for a part-time role (Mon–Wed, 9:00am–5:00pm). You will welcome patients, educate them about treatments, and assist with IV access and medication administration.

Candidates should have an RN license, an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), and at least 3 years in high-acuity settings; infusion experience is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical RN experience in ICU, ER, or similar high-acuity settings.
• Infusion experience preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
• Valid RN License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS/PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and escort them to private infusion rooms.
• Educate patients about treatments and address concerns about adverse reactions.
• Administer prescribed medications and establish IV access, including central lines.
• Monitor and document patients' conditions and responses to treatments.
• Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Maintain the flow of patient care and manage emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Keep infusion rooms clean and well-stocked.
• Answer phone calls, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
