Job summary

Texas Oncology in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse to support the Infusion Department at our Medical Center. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with responsibilities to provide professional nursing care following standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 0–3 years of RN experience.
• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care per standards.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching/instructional materials.
• Administer therapies under physician direction.
• Administer medications/blood products with correct dosage and route.
• Ensure pre-authorization and consent forms where applicable.
• Assist with dose modification by reviewing labs and protocols.
• Perform venipuncture and manage ports/central lines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and treatments.
• Understand reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
