Job summary

ORTHOPEDIC PHYSICIANS ALASKA is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Rheumatology & Infusion CARE TEAM at University Lake Anchorage. The full-time MA will support patient care, perform administrative and environmental tasks, and help ensure the clinic operates smoothly.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, updating the EHR, and coordinating with providers and staff. A HIPAA-compliant, patient-centered approach is required, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical MA experience OR externship in a medical office.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to MA scope of practice.
• Room patients, take vital signs, document visits in EHR.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and cleaned for visits.
• Comply with HIPAA and state laws.
• Answer calls and assist with scheduling.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Maintain professional presence.
