Job summary

Lee Health Home Infusion in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with IV compounding and the preparation, dispensing, distribution, and control of medications for home infusion therapy. You will help ensure medications are prepared accurately and safely while adhering to state and federal regulations and department policies.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality will support patients receiving infusion therapy in the comfort of their homes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred; One year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Certification: CPht certification required within 180 days of hire; ExCPT certification may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
• License: Registered Pharmacy Technician with Florida Department of Health required.
• Other: Data entry and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology; ability to cope with confrontation.

Shift: Shift 1/8:8:30:00 AM to 5:00:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.00 - $23.50 / hour

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the Pharmacist with IV compounding and the preparation, dispensing, distribution, and control of medications for home infusion therapy. You will help ensure medications are prepared accurately and safely while adhering to applicable state and federal regulations, professional standards, and pharmacy department policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help support patients receiving infusion therapy in the comfort of their homes.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. One year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

Certification: CPht (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification with the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) required (must be obtained within first 180 days of hire). ExCPT certification may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

License: Registered Pharmacy Technician with Florida Department of Health required.

Other: Data entry and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology. Ability to cope with confrontation.
