Job summary

Novellis Health seeks a skilled Infusion Registered Nurse to administer IV medications, blood products, and complex infusion therapies in accordance with physician orders and protocols in New York.

The ideal candidate has oncology infusion experience, strong venous access skills, and a patient‑centered approach. Responsibilities include monitoring therapy, managing side effects, and collaborating on treatment plans with the care team; BLS/ACLS if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN NY state license.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in outpatient oncology setting preferred.
  • 2+ years of peripheral IV experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Chemotherapy/biotherapy or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor therapy using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician.
  • Exhibit passion for and experience in Oncology patient care
  • Manage patients with oncologic and hematologic diagnoses
  • Duties will include administration of IV and oral medications, vascular access device maintenance and monitoring, chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration, blood administration, therapeutic phlebotomy, assessment of patient symptoms and the management of side effects, and overall collaboration on patient treatment plans
  • Mixing and administration of chemotherapy drugs
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families throughout treatment
  • Triages patient/family phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.
  • Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching.

Key Responsibilities
