Job summary

Druid City Infusion in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications, preparing sterile and non-sterile admixtures, and maintaining strict accuracy and safety standards in hospital and retail settings.

You will handle prescription orders, prepare labels, manage lot numbers and expiration dates, communicate with patients and providers, and help uphold regulatory guidelines including OSHA and FDA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-year compounding experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication safety standards.
• Ability to operate fax machines and pharmacy software systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sterile admixture orders with Pharmacist guidance.
• Perform product preparation calculations and obtain Pharmacist validation.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile admixtures with aseptic technique.
• Prepare labels, prescriptions, and worksheets; track lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Generate delivery and pickup slips under Pharmacist supervision.
• Pick and pull required supplies for compounding.
• Maintain cleanroom and equipment per policies.
• Report inventory findings to Pharmacist as needed.
• Participate in branch meetings and quality initiatives.
• Comply with accreditation and regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, state/federal).
