Soleo Health in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our specialty infusion pharmacy. This is a non-IV compounding role, in-office only, with responsibilities including sterile preparation under pharmacist supervision, inventory management, and data entry in our pharmacy software.

The successful candidate will have a CPhT, hospital infusion pharmacy experience preferred, and be licensed in Arizona.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Arizona in good standing.
• Minimum hospital-setting technician experience.
• PTCB/NHA certification required.
• Excellent customer service and sterile compounding skills.
• ACPE requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Sterile preparation of infusion therapies under pharmacist direction (non-IV compounding).
• Maintain call and shipment schedules for patient continuity of care.
• Data entry of patient and prescription information into the pharmacy software.
• Clean room cleaning and maintenance according to policy and state regulations.
• Participate in QA and performance improvement programs.
• Complete annual credentialing and licensing requirements.

The Position:

The pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Responsibilities include:

• Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards. - This is a non-IV compounding role
• Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
• Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
• Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
• Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations.
• Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
• Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
• Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and completes Soleo’s annual re-credentialing process.
• Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
• Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
• Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program.
• Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.

Schedule:

• Must be able to work 100 percent in office
• This is a non-IV compounding role and requires experience with order fulfillment, inventory management- to include infusion pumps, NetSuite, barcode scanning, cleaning/restocking IV room, etc.
• Full time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week with flexibility as needed
• Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job work experience working as a Pharmacy Technician- preferred experience working in hospital/Specialty Infusion Pharmacy setting
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona in good standing
• Must be PTCB/NHA nationally certified

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP State of Arizona in good standing and requires PTCB/NHA Certification
• Minimum experience working as a technician in the hospital setting.
• Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
• Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent sterile compounding technique
• Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Helpful programs to know: CPR+, AlayaCare, Insight, NetSuite, VPL, and Paylocity
