Job summary

Vivo Infusion in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to prepare and dispense infusion drugs, manage IV admixtures, and support clinical staff within regulatory compliance. You will oversee inventory, order supplies, review orders, and coordinate drug deliveries in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification, required. Certification must be active at the time of employment.
• 2 years in a fast-paced patient-facing or customer service role, preferred.
• 1 year of working experience in a pharmacy environment, preferred. Knowledge of medications, dosage calculations, interactions, and HIPAA.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Suite and electronic recordkeeping.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills; professional across varied audiences.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies; stocks and maintains medications.
• Reviews orders, regimens, and verifies that all requirements are met prior to patient appointment date.
• Retrieves appropriate medication; Prepares intravenous (IV) admixtures or other sterile products following sterility guidelines.
• Coordinates specialty pharmacy and medication delivery; completes and documents related to filling prescriptions.
• Participates in clinical trial research as applicable.
• Assists clinical staff when necessary.
• Adheres to infection-control procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Follows policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance.
