Job summary

Vivo Infusion in Grandville, MI seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to prepare and dispense infusion drugs and manage supply inventory under sterile guidelines.

You will review patient orders, coordinate deliveries, and support clinical staff while complying with all regulations and HIPAA requirements.

The role requires Pharmacy Technician Certification and 1 year of pharmacy experience, with competitive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification required and active at employment.
• 2 years in a fast-paced patient-facing or customer service role preferred.
• 1 year of working experience in a pharmacy environment preferred.
• Experience mixing and compounding medications preferred.
• Working knowledge of medications, dosage calculations, interactions, terminology, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies; stocks and maintains medications.
• Reviews orders and regimens to ensure requirements are met before patient appointment date.
• Prepares intravenous (IV) admixtures or other sterile products following sterility guidelines.
• Coordinates with referring offices for orders and medications; documents related to filling prescriptions.
• Assists in coordinating specialty pharmacy/free drug programs and medication delivery.
• Participates in clinical trial research as applicable; supports clinical staff as needed.
• Adheres to infection-control procedures and maintains a clean work environment; reports equipment issues.
• Follows policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance.
