Job summary

Amerita, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Production to join our home infusion pharmacy team in New Jersey. You will support labeling, dispensing, and aseptic preparation efforts under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager.

The role requires NJ Active Pharmacy Technician license, experience in aseptic compounding, and the ability to coordinate with pharmacists, nurses, and aides. Monday–Friday, 9:30 am–6:00 pm, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification preferred.
Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy.
1-3 years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting.
At least 1 year of aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals.
General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques.
Effective mathematical and communication skills required.
Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions.
Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently.
Valid driver's license.
Driving Position: Yes-Minimal driving for patient deliveries may be required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care with pharmacists, nurses, access team, and technicians.
Prepare labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets; maintain lot numbers and batch records.
Document temperature logs, sterility testing, and logs in compliance with USP 797/800.
Participate in branch management and quality improvement activities.
Coordinate sterile mixture prep and home medical equipment orders with pharmacists.
Adhere to accreditation and regulatory standards for infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
No supervisory responsibilities.
