Job summary

PharMerica in Totowa, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Production to join our pharmacy team. You will support preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications, while ensuring accuracy and compliance under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager.

The ideal candidate has a valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license, 1–3 years of home care experience, IV certification preferred, and strong attention to detail. Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Helps coordinate patient care activities with Pharmacists, Nurses, access team, and other Technicians
• Prepares labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records
• Documents all temperature logs, pressure and humidity monitors, records all sterility testing done in the clean room in compliance with company policies and procedures, and USP 797 and USP 800 standards. Documents all activities on the appropriate logs
• Participates in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities
• Coordinates and schedules the preparation of sterile mixtures and home medical equipment orders with the assistance of the Pharmacist
• Adheres to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment
• Other duties as assigned
