Job summary

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Hematology/Oncology Infusion Center team. This PRN/Day shift role supports dispensing, sterile compounding, and inventory management across shifts and clinical areas.

The position requires an active pharmacy technician license, 1+ year hospital experience, and strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

High School Grad or Equivalent required.
Associate degree preferred.
1+ year of hospital pharmacy experience required.
Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required or OR Licensed.
PTCB or NHA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Independently prepares and dispenses patient-specific medication doses.
Compounds and manages sterile medication preparations, including chemotherapy.
Maintains medication inventory operations including ordering, stocking, and rotating stock.
Ensures proper medication storage and cold chain custody.
Supports formulary management and quality improvement initiatives.
