Qualifications

• The position also requires 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including at least 1 year of compounding experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician, with National Pharmacy Technician Certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders according to policy and maintains accuracy.
• Performs sterile and non-sterile compounding of predominately hazardous drugs.
• Maintains and supports Automated Dispensing cabinets and inventory control.
• Trains other employees and supports cross-location duties as needed.
• Ensures compliance with safety, regulatory requirements and research protocols.
• Communicates and escalates issues to appropriate resources.
• Supports timely delivery of medications and supplies.
