Job summary

You will coordinate daily workflow, manage staffing schedules, mentor pharmacy staff, and lead process improvements and quality assurance initiatives to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 5 years of pharmacy experience with leadership demonstrated.
• License/Certification/Registration: Licensed to practice in Massachusetts; related specialization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and Institute standards regarding medication storage, preparation, and dispensing.
• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing schedules to meet patient care needs.
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and leadership to pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff; ensure ongoing training and competencies.
• Identify, triage, and resolve operational issues related to pharmacy services and medication safety.
• Develop and implement departmental policies, SOPs, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements and quality assurance initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with USP and other regulatory standards; elevate concerns as needed.
