The Infusion Pharmacy Manager at HME Specialists plays a pivotal role in leading the Home Infusion department (HIT), focusing on clinical excellence and regulatory compliance. This position requires effective leadership to optimize roles and labor, ensuring high-quality patient care. You will supervise and support a team of staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, setting and evaluating performance goals while addressing escalated customer concerns to maintain exceptional service standards. Additionally, you will lead the implementation of company policies and regulatory standards, participate in process improvement initiatives, and contribute to strategic planning meetings.
Your collaborative efforts will extend to budget development and cost-saving strategies, all while fostering a positive workplace culture in accordance with HR policies. This multifaceted role is essential for driving quality and efficiency in infusion pharmacy services.
To succeed as the Infusion Pharmacy Manager at HME Specialists, candidates must possess a pharmacist degree and a minimum of four years of relevant experience, with previous Pharmacy in Charge (PIC) experience preferred. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential as you will directly oversee both exempt and nonexempt staff, leading their hiring, development, and performance appraisals. Excellent communication skills are necessary for high-level interactions with external organizations and agencies, as well as for providing clinical oversight and guidance to licensed providers. A thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, along with the ability to integrate objectives across functions, will contribute to the organization's overall effectiveness.
Additionally, possessing a valid clinical license as a Registered Pharmacist is required to ensure quality patient care in the infusion pharmacy setting. These skills are vital for fostering collaboration within the team and achieving excellence in patient outcomes.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
• Pharmacist degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Previous PIC experience preferred but not required.
• Contributes to the organization's effectiveness by offering information and opinions as a member of the management team integrates objectives with other functions.
• Directly supervises exempt and nonexempt staff.
• Leads hiring, development and appraisals of direct and indirect reports. High level and frequent interactions with outside organizations and agencies. Provides clinical oversight and guidance to all licensed providers.
