Job summary

UAB Medicine is hiring a pharmacist to provide patient-focused pharmacy services, monitor therapy, perform interventions, and support education and distribution. This role collaborates with clinic staff, infusion teams and retail pharmacies to coordinate care and optimize access for patients.

The ideal candidate has a pharmacy degree and is licensed or eligible to be licensed by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy, with a commitment to high-quality service and interprofessional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Medication therapy coordination, reviewing therapy appropriateness, educating and updating physicians and clinic staff with therapy changes.
• Collaborate with patient care coordination, infusion and retail pharmacies to support patient access, prior authorizations and appeals.
