Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a PRN Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support The Medical Center location in Houston, Texas. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays and no on‑call requirements.

Responsibilities include planning, preparing and administering therapies, performing venipuncture and port access, and documenting care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality patient experience in a state‑of‑the‑art cancer center.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license and current registration in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Level I–Senior based on experience: 0–3 years (I), 3+ years (II), 5+ years (Senior).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care; assess patient/family needs and provide teaching.
• Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision; ensure correct dosages and appropriate consents.
• Perform venipuncture and access implanted ports; maintain central line catheter devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
• Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
