Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking experienced registered nurses to join the Cancer Center Hematology Oncology Infusion team at Ball Memorial in Muncie, IN. This full-time day shift role supports outpatient chemotherapy infusion care and collaboration with hematology/oncology providers to deliver high-quality, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior chemotherapy infusion experience preferred.
• Prior oncology experience preferred.
• OCN certification preferred; certification must be obtained within two years of hire.
• Requires an ASN; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions possible with more than two years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy according to treatment plans and protocols.
• Complete focused oncology assessments and verify labs and treatment parameters.
• Manage central venous access devices and implanted ports with sterile technique.
• Monitor for infusion reactions and treatment-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and when to contact the care team.
