Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT, is hiring an Infusion Registered Nurse to join the Oncology Department. The role supports patients throughout their cancer journey with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

The RN will work 36 hours per week, 9-hour shifts, with a schedule from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and occasional weekends. Day Kimball Health offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a community-focused system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse license or multi-state license.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred within orientation period.
• Minimum 2 years ambulatory Oncology experience preferred; OCn certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose patient health problems and provide emergent, supportive and restorative care.
• Navigate computer software programs and document nursing activities.
• Peer review of chemotherapy orders and ensure dosing accuracy per NCCN guidelines.
• Assess needs across age groups and developmental levels and plan care accordingly.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene promptly.
• Maintain required unit certifications and support chemotherapy safety practices.
