The University of North Carolina (UNC) Medical Center Department of Pharmacy has an opening for a highly motivated pharmacist seeking to join our team of clinical pharmacists. The individual in this position will support patients seen through the UNC Medical Center hematology/oncology infusion clinic in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The position offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment through collaboration with infusion nursing, physicians, APPs, clinical pharmacists, and operational pharmacy teams to provide therapeutic education to patients on chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The position offers the opportunity to develop preceptorship and research skills through pharmacy student and PGY1/PGY2 resident precepting and mentorship.
This individual will report to the Clinical Manager of the Hematology/Oncology Service Line and work closely with Clinical Specialists as well as the Specialty Pharmacists within the UNC Carolina Care Pharmacy Care Network.
The individual in this position will provide comprehensive pharmacist care through therapeutic education to patients seen through the infusion clinic. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing comprehensive pharmacist care to patients and collaborating closely with outpatient clinical pharmacists to ensure continuity of care between infusion and outpatient services.
