Job summary

OI Infusion Services in Sparta, NJ is seeking a licensed RN infusion nurse for a part-time role (16 hours/week). You will administer infusion therapy, establish IV access, monitor patients, educate caregivers, and maintain safety protocols.

Schedule is two days per week, days set upon hire, not open Fri-Sun; hours flexible 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. PTO and 401k benefits available to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year infusion/IV experience preferred.
• IVIG knowledge/experience preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing clinical education and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapy per physician orders and protocols.
• Establish and maintain IV access with precision.
• Monitor patients for reactions and document progress.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans and meds.
• Maintain infection control practices and safety standards.
• Record refrigerator temperatures and daily logs.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and therapy sessions.
• Notify physicians of changes in patient conditions.
• Uphold professionalism in all interactions.
• Process co-pays as required and ensure patient satisfaction surveys are completed.

Position Details

Location: Sparta, NJ.

Schedule: Two days per week (days will be set upon hire) - location is not open Friday-Sunday.

Working Hours a week: 16 hours (flexible 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM hours set upon hire).

Key Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapy according to physician orders and protocols.
• Establish and maintain intravenous access with precision and care.
• Monitor patients for reactions, document progress, and update records in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, medications, and disease management.
• Adhere to infection control techniques and universal precautions to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage and document refrigerator temperatures and daily logs.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and schedule therapy sessions for no-show patients.
• Notify physicians and regional directors of changes in patient conditions.
• Uphold professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and client staff.
• Collect co-pays as required and ensure patient satisfaction surveys are completed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (R.N.) with a current state license.
• Minimum of 1 year of infusion/IV experience as an R.N. (infusion experience highly preferred).
• IVIG knowledge/experience highly preferred

• Commitment to maintaining and expanding clinical expertise through ongoing education.
• Adherence to safe nursing practices and infection control standards.
