Job summary

Aperion Care in the Elgin area is seeking an Infusion Nurse (RN) to administer infusions and provide specialized nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. You will ensure care is delivered according to each Plan of Care and ensure quality standards are met.

The role emphasizes adherence to care plans, accurate charting, patient and family counseling, and compliance with state regulations. A current RN license and CPR certification are required; LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations and LTC guidelines.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Long Term Care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform infusions per the client’s Plan of Care within nurse practice act.

INFUSION NURSE (RN) ** Elgin, IL Area **

SUMMARY:

The Infusion Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for providing infusions. The infusion nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately, and the standards of quality are adhered to.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act.
• Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes.
• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
• Preforms all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
