Job summary

IVX Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to lead infusion care in outpatient settings, delivering high-quality, patient-centered treatment. The NP will oversee patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support families and providers with expertise in infusion therapy.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, assessments, and education, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• NP and RN licenses required; board certification required (AANP/ANCC).
• BLS required; PALS preferred.
• Experience in ambulatory infusion centers or outpatient clinics is a plus.
• Ability to care for adults and pediatrics (FNP preferred).
• Strong IV/infusion therapy skills and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and, where applicable, supervised infusion and injections.
• Perform patient assessments and document SOAP notes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and side effects.
• Maintain HIPAA/compliance and accurate EHR documentation.
• Streamline patient visits by optimizing clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in inventory, authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
• Maintain flexibility to work at multiple facilities within the market.
• Take on additional duties to support patient care and organizational goals.

What You Will Do

• Provide Direct Patient Care– Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
• Conduct Patient Assessments– Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
• Educate and Support Patients– Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
• Ensure Compliance and Quality– Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
• Optimize Clinical Workflows– Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams– Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
• Support Operations and Training– Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
• Flexibility and Adaptability– Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
• Perform Additional Duties– Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.

What We're Looking For

• Active and Unrestricted Licenses – Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
• Board Certification – AANP or ANCC certification required.
• Life Support Certifications – BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• Clinical Experience – Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
• Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population – Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
• Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills – Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
• Proficiency in Clinical Documentation – Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
