Job summary

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver expert, evidence-based infusion care to a complex patient population in a busy clinical setting. Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; if ADN, complete BSN within 4 years.
• License/Certification/Registration: MA/NH RN license; BLS required; professional nursing certification preferred (OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, RN-BC).
• Experience: Oncology nursing residency program or 1 year RN experience; ambulatory/oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
• Administers medications, including chemotherapy; may administer blood transfusions.
• Educates patients and families about treatments and disease modalities.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams and documents per policy.
• Ensures patient safety and regulatory compliance; adheres to ANA code of ethics.
• Supports QA/QI projects and professional growth activities.
